Private Music Instruction

Violin Profiles has a database of teachers  worldwide, searchable by location.
North-Central Texas is fortunate in having a robust and thriving community of musical education. We have major schools of music at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, the University of North Texas in Denton, and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. There are the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's community and educational programs such as Young Strings. The area is rich in  excellent private teachers and schools and magnet public schools for the arts. With our wealth of orchestras and other musical groups, we have one of the largest and best pools of talent for stringed-instrument instruction in the world. While it may not be that hard to find a teacher or school here, it may take some research to find the right teacher or school for you.

We are working on assembling links to some of the area stringed-instrument teachers and schools. We hope these listings will  make it easier for you to find the right one for your child or for you.
